Is it important to do annual reviews?
The most important thing of all is to maintain oral health, which is why it is necessary to carry out an annual review. In this way we can:
– Diagnose as soon as possible if there is any type of pathology
– Assess whether the habits we have are correct to maintain good oral health: hygiene, diet, parafunctions (bruxism, nail biting…)

Types of prevention
There are 3 levels of prevention that vary depending on the moment in which action is taken against malaltia.
01
Primary
It reduces the chances of contracting a disease before presenting symptoms and that it appears.
02
Secondary
If the first fails and the disease appears, action is taken to interrupt the condition and bring it under control more easily.
03
Tertiary
When the disease has been established we try to prevent it from continuing to grow and triggering a more serious disease.
Depending on the stage your mouth is in at Salart Detal we will perform one type of treatment or another to maintain your oral health.
Why is it so important?
The big problem with dental diseases is that most of them are detected once the symptoms appear, thus reducing the chances of success in the treatment.
And when an oral disease is left adrift to another one of greater severity and cost.
For this reason, at Salart Dental we attach great importance and insist very much on regular check-ups and preventive treatments.
How to take care of your mouth?
Although it is not possible to 100% reduce the chances of contracting oral diseases such as cavities, it is possible to greatly reduce the chances of contracting them with good hygiene habits and some treatments that we present below:

Daily oral hygiene
Fundamental to avoid the development of oral diseases. From three daily brushings, mouthwash and dental floss.

Healthy diet
A balanced diet low in sugars and/or carbohydrates is necessary to avoid oral diseases.

Bad habits
Tobacco, alcohol and other drugs cause serious infections in the mouth, which can lead to tooth loss. They also cause oral cancers.

Professional treatments
It is necessary to have your mouth checked by a specialist to assess if everything is fine or if some type of treatment is necessary, either because there is already a disease or to avoid it.

Use of mouth guard
In contact sports the use of mouth guards is necessary. The ones we can find in sports shops or pharmacies do not offer the same protection as one made by a professional. Our advice is to exercise, it’s very healthy, but protect your teeth properly.
