EAT, SMILE, BE YOU AGAIN

Dental implants

It is no longer just an image problem, the lack of teeth affects many other aspects of daily life, such as difficulty eating or pronouncing correctly.

If we do not replace a missing piece quickly, the teeth on the side and in the opposite arch will move. In addition, we will not chew correctly and this will involve greater wear and tear on other teeth.

It is very important to replace missing teeth. Today, implants are the best option we have when we are missing our own tooth.

What are dental implants?

Today, implants are the best treatment we have when we are missing a tooth or tooth of our own.

Implants offer us the possibility of having fixed teeth in the mouth again.

They consist of a small titanium screw that we place in the maxilla or jaw bone, which acts as a root.

Once the implant has been osteografted, it has been fixed to the bone, we can place the prosthetic part: crowns, bridges or complete dentures.

Treatments with implants

Whether we are missing one tooth or several, this type of treatment is used to replace lost teeth.

Unitary implants

To replace a single tooth, we will place a unitary implant. It is the most common solution to replace an extracted or fallen tooth.

Partial implants

In slightly more serious cases where more than one tooth is needed, a bridge is usually placed over implants.

Total rehabilitation

Here we basically have 2 treatment options:

  • Fixed: the patient cannot remove it, it offers maximum aesthetics and function.
  • Overdentures: offers the comfort of implants, maximum support and comfort but the patient can remove the prosthesis to clean it at home.

Our implants are world-class

AVINENT. An implant manufactured in Santpedor, Catalonia. A worldwide pioneering company in Cad-cam technology (the new way of working in dentistry digitally).

STRAUMANN. A Swiss company with more than 60 years of experience in the creation of implants.

We study each case to use the most suitable implant.

How is an implant placed?

To place an implant, we will first have to perform a surgical procedure, where local anesthesia will have to be placed. Implant placement consists of five phases:

01

Diagnosis

We study each case individually to find out which is the best implant. At Salart Dental we have all the necessary technology so you don’t have to go to other centers to do these tests.

02

Placement

With a simple intervention under local anesthesia, we place the implants and perform the necessary techniques to obtain the best result.

03

Healing

We wait in each case for the necessary time for the bone to heal around the implant.

If the case allows it, we can do immediate loadings, that is, on the same day that we place the implant, we also place the prosthetic part. Other times, we have to wait a while before taking this step.

04

Placement of the crown

After the necessary time, we carry out the prosthetic part, the crowns or prostheses.

At Salart Dental we do this step entirely digitally. We no longer take measurements with those painful pastas. We have a Trios3 scanner that offers us maximum comfort and allows us to make a prosthesis with the maximum possible adjustment.

05

Post implant care

In order to guarantee the duration of the implant, we will have to carry out a follow-up with revisions and oral hygiene.
