How to relieve TMJ pain?
Considering that this is not a solution and that a visit to the dentist is more than recommended, there are several recommendations that can relieve the pain and discomfort temporarily.
You can follow these tips until you have your visit with the dentist:
01

Avoid foods
Certain hard foods such as nuts, chewing gum or sandwiches, among others, are not recommended as they strain the jaw and require great effort when chewing.
02

Apply heat
If you apply heat to the painful area, you can relax the muscles in the area, thus relieving the pain.
03

Reduce stress
Relieving your stress allows you to reduce pressure in the jaw area. So it is recommended to do relaxation exercises that allow you to manage this stress.
